Welcome to the Greenest City of the Country!

Chandigarh is not only the greenest city but also one of the cleanest in the country.
A recent study by the Ministry of Urban Development rated Chandigarh as the cleanest city in India with a rating of 73.48 points for sanitation.
With its over 15 parks and a green belt that runs through the city, and tree-lined avenues, it is a visual treat for the morning walkers and joggers.  And for the tourists, there is nothing like getting up early in the morning and walk around in the Rose Garden or the Leisure Valley or the Jogger's Trail.
There's lot more to discover in the city that is called 'the city beautiful'...while you attend the 5th Global PR Conclave on 17-18 March 2010.

Death of PR?

The onset of social media with its overwhelmingly pervasive presence in the web world, the sheer power it wields for its users, and alarming speed with which it is penetrating into people's lives, has sparked new concerns and challenges for the communicators and social scientists. While some PR practitioners foresee looming danger from the net-sphere and fear death-knell for the profession, as has been expressed at many fora, the fear is misplaced.  The PR practitioners need to upgrade their skill and knowledge and include the online media as another tool in their armory.
Are we ready for this communication renaissance and the consequent fast-paced changes in our professional practice? The 5th Global PR Conclave at Chandigarh would endeavour to discuss its impact and chart a future course of action that PR practitioners must take.
This change also requires a fresh new look at the way we communicate, and how we can add value to our client's briefs through strategically deploying the new communication tools.
Mark Twain once remarked, "The report of my death is an exaggeration", and the same holds true for the practice of Public Relations too.
Register now to be a part of this dialogue on 17-18 March 2011.

Speak Up!

Opportunity to voice your opinion, share your ideas as a PR practitioner. This is the opportunity also to represent your city/chapter at this 5th Global PR Conclave.  Amidst the change that is sweeping the every sphere of our lives with much rapidity and speed, are the PR practitioners, who are the change managers and change agents, keeping pace with it? What needs to be done to emerge from reactive mode to more proactive mode, and envision the changes that would affect the lives of the people...the people in our organisational business sphere or the global.  We look forward to your presence at Chandigarh, which invites you with 'Open Hand' - "Open to Give...Open to Receive".

Note: "Open Hand" is the symbol of Chandigarh and carries the tag line "Open to Give...Open to Receive"
